Coordination of the mobile-learning intervention through community mobilization, engagement and the provision of logistics and event management services. Sixty-four documentary screenings were deployed in thirty-two communities across Kano and Jigawa states. More than 1,000 mobiles were configured with mobile games and digital books for the use of children.

Provision of Logistics and Events Management Services for Stakeholder Meeting to Validate National Medical Laboratory Strategic Plan. Over 100 stakeholders drawn from across Nigeria were involved in validating Nigeria’s National medical Laboratory Strategic Plan (2014-2018). The assignment included providing logistics and events management services for the one week event which held on 25-29 November 2013 in Abuja.

All services were provided by BBID Staff members: coordination of transportation for participants, securing of meeting venue and accommodation, administration of reimbursable payments, equipment rental, managing bank transfers and reportage.

The assisgnment included advance planning, provision of logistics and administrative services for the training which held in June 2013 in Yaba, Lagos State.

Agribusiness Youth Workshop Fair at Songhai Centre, Republic of Benin

The youth workshop fair aimed to articulate a strategy/roadmap for attracting and engaging young women and men in agribusiness. This consultative forum of over 500 participants from about 10 West African countries was geared towards the development of an evidence based set of policy guidelines to be used by policymakers and development partners in formulating programmes that promote rural youth entrepreneurs and agribusiness development.

As the lead consultant, directly responsible for the organisation of the event, Mr Gombu’s role included events planning, preparation of events documentation (aide memoir, invitation letters, agenda, promotional materials etc). He was also in charge of overseeing scheduling the day to day activities during the event.
